Gold Family Grocery

PERSONAL PROJECT, 1940S PERIOD

Set in 1940, Mr. Maynard Gold operates a ground-floor grocery store in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Although he spends most of his time welcoming his regular customers and stocking the shelves, at the end of the day he’s got a heart for travel and hopes to save enough money for him and his daughter to explore the natural wonders of the United States.

Using photographs, antique artifacts, and text references, I created a collection of items that might be found in the stock room and study of Mr. Gold.
